His paintings have been exhibited at the Catto Gallery in London, with the R.I. at the Mall Galleries and with the R.W.S. at Bankside, as well as in many provincial galleries and exhibitions. He has shown in the Laing Art Competition and in the Singer and Friedlander/Sunday Times Watercolour Competition. In both 1996 and 1997 he was a prize winner at the Royal Watercolour Society open exhibition, he was a co-founder of the Louth Art Exhibition and he is a Vice President of the Lincolnshire Artists’ Society. His initial training was to study NDD Furniture Design and followed by the Art Teacher’s Certificate at Leeds College of Art. He also studied for a second NDD in ceramics when he was teaching in Kingston upon Hull. After moving to Grimsby School of Art he developed his own studio pottery with his wife Avril until he taking early retirement in 1990 to concentrate on painting. Since then he has exhibited regularly on open exhibitions including the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, the Royal Watercolour Society, the Laing Exhibition and the Singer and Friedlander/Sunday Times Exhibition and has been awarded a number of prizes. He has had many images reproduced as greetings cards, giclée prints and limited editions. |

Studied at Leeds College of Art and taught in Hull before moving to Lincolnshire. Giclée
The giclée printing process is a label now used to denote archival quality fine art prints produced using an inkjet printing method. This process accurately reproduces the tonalities and hues of the original painting and has no visible dot screen pattern.
